Gamer’s Quarter, an archive

Gamer’s Quarter is perhaps my first ever taste of videogame writing that treated games as more than a medium for entertainment. Through stories of various authors’ experiences, inextricably linked to videogames, I became aware of the emotional potential of games as an artform.

The site for the magazine is inactive, and the magazine has been defunct for some time. The issues have however been preserved over at TEXTFILES, a site collecting various online magazines, god bless ’em:

You’ll find some writing from authors such as Anna Anthropy (writing as Ancil Anthropy), Tim Rogers (whose article takes up half the damn zine, as expected) and quite a few others.
